SYSPHERE FINE ART CONSERVATION & RESTORATION: Was founded by the internationally renowned conservator Sy Sphere, a highly accomplished visionary multi-discipline fine artist, designer and art dealer. He specialized in Old Masters painting techniques at The School of Art Institute of Chicago & Loyola University.
Sysphere is a standing member and practices standard guidelines of the American Institute for the Conservation of Historic and Artistic Works (AIC) & FAIC Washington, DC. Over the past 40 years, hundreds of works of art of a variety of styles and genres have been restored and conserved masterfully by Sysphere, Such as Old Masters, School of Barbizon, Impressionism, Modern, Contemporary, Western, Asian art from private collections, art galleries, and permanent collections of museums worldwide. Thus, achieved virtuosity and refinement in conservation practice, providing extreme care, finest quality craftsmanship, and skills, with innovative, in-depth solutions and exceptional technical abilities with knowledge of materials and methodologies, reverting damaged artwork to its original condition.
Recently, Sy Sphere was part of the Andrew W. Mellon foundation collaborative symposium at the Harvard University faculty club in Cambridge and prints conservation workshop at Northeast Document Conservation Center Andover, MA.
In 2002, he moved to San Francisco from Chicago and established a full-service loft Atelier in SOMA, in the late 70’s, SYSPHERE established his first Art and Design loft Atelier in Chicago after he had hands-on training with seasoned professionals at the best studios in Chicago, working with chemistry, retouching & conservation techniques for 20 plus years. Before that in the 1960’s Sy was trained & taught by his conservator, artist, professor, a virtuoso Renaissance man father.
And Now Maestro Sysphere has been a mentor and inspiration for students from prestigious institutions like Ecole Conte, Paris, France, The Art Institute of Chicago, American Academy Chicago, Art Institute San Francisco, Minerva University International, San Francisco, and others, towards higher degree accreditations.
He was recently interviewed by National Public Radio regarding an $82 million Andy Warhol painting damaged at the SFMOMA.
Simultaneously along side of Canserving, Creating and Producing Fine Art, Sy have developed art collections for clients worldwide, as a Director of Martin Lawrence Galleries, Wentworth Galleries and Franklin Bowles Galleries in San Francisco, New York and Chicago. Sy is also represented by :
